• In early product phases, designs change daily. Broad expertise across the full system keeps progress moving when on-the-fly changes are unavoidable.
• Principal engineer Richard Lewis has worked in embedded systems since their inception. He assembled the first personal computer in Texas (Altair 8800, serial #15) and even solved a manufacturer defect in its oscillator.
• He has led projects for IBM, Dell, GTE, Eaton, Qualcomm, NCR, HP, and others. His work has supported classified programs for the U.S. Navy, Air Force, and Army, and secure systems for banking leaders including Regions Bank and Bank of America.

Most ASTL projects are contract-based, ranging from multi-month on-site assignments to full engineering teams. We also provide remote support and project oversight when dedicated supervision is needed.
